The event will highlight results from Galectin’s NAVIGATE Phase 3 clinical trial evaluating belapectin for the treatment of MASH cirrhosis and portal hypertension utilizing novel primary end point. Belapectin is a complex carbohydrate drug that targets galectin-3, a critical protein in the pathogenesis of MASH and fibrosis. With no approved therapies to prevent or treat varices in MASH cirrhosis, belapectin may represent the first potential treatment to address this significant unmet need.
